Aircraft Maintenance and Operations Manager

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and implement approved policies and plans to ensure aircraft are operated in accordance with government regulations, aircraft manufacturer's specifications, and company-established policies.
  • Design mandatory training to meet flight proficiency requirements; ensure compliance and participation in safety-related activities.
  • Manage ongoing operations of the aircraft business units, identify root causes via data analytics, and evaluate leading indicators of performance to deploy targeted improvements.
  • Develop and implement multi‑year budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Create and maintain safety curriculum and strategies for emergency response.
  • Develop and oversee the distribution of safety communications to aviation services, functional areas, and contractors.
  • Design and implement safety promotion initiatives and campaigns to foster a safety‑conscious culture.
  • Supervise analysis of aviation safety data and leading indicators to identify risks and trends.
  • Maintain protection of the company’s physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, including proper handling of highly sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Five or more years of combined experience performing or leading a flight operations function.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing Part 145 Limited Repair Station certification, including repair station manual and related FAA documentation.
  • Experience inspecting aircraft mechanical, structural, and avionics equipment on pre‑flight, periodic, and planned maintenance bases.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating disassembly of airframe, engine, avionics, and other components for planned maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Experience directly installing special accessories, attachments, and conductors on aircraft.
  • Ability to evaluate, recommend, and direct installation of new aircraft equipment or modifications.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
Additional Information
  • This position’s work mode is on‑site; the employee will report to an SCE facility or field location. Details will be discussed during the interview.
  • Position may require up to 25% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory.
  • Optional work schedule is available.
  • Position is DOT covered; subject to random drug/alcohol screening.
  • Relocation may apply.
