Job Description & How to Apply Below

Making a difference where it matters most.

As a Housing Officer, you ll be the trusted face of Green Square Accord  in your community. Taking ownership of around 400-500 homes within your allocated neighbourhood, you ll build relationships, solve problems and help people sustain successful tenancies.

This is a role that s out in the community, not behind a desk. You ll know your patch, understand your customers and work alongside colleagues and partner organisations to create safe, thriving neighbourhoods.

No two days are the same. One day you could be supporting a customer experiencing domestic abuse, resolving anti-social behaviour or helping someone affected by hoarding. The next, you might be working with local councils, community leaders or residents on projects that improve the places people call home.

You ll have the autonomy to manage your own area, making balanced decisions that are both compassionate and fair. While every customer has their own story, you ll be confident applying tenancy law and making decisions that protect both individuals and the wider community.

What you ll be doing
  • Taking ownership of around 400-500 homes within your locality.
  • Managing tenancy issues and supporting customers to maintain their tenancies.
  • Carrying out home visits and being a visible presence in your community.
  • Managing a varied caseload, including anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and tenancy breaches.
  • Working with councils, support agencies and community partners to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Helping improve neighbourhoods through local initiatives and community projects.
What we re looking for - you ll be someone who:
  • Has experience of housing and tenancy law including succession, mutual exchange, assignments and ending tenancies.
  • Experience of tenancy management and enforcement.
  • Can look beyond the emotion of a situation to make fair, evidence-based decisions.
  • Is person-centred and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Builds positive relationships and works well with a range of partners.
  • Holds a full driving licence and has access to a car.
