About the Role
SEMH Teaching Assistant in Chippenham – A primary school/tuition centre seeks a dedicated, caring SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a child with an educational, health and care plan (EHCP). The role offers experience in the Special Needs and Mental Health sector and collaboration with speech‑language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and teachers.
Key Expectations- Provide support for a SEMH child following the EHCP, developing specific targets, outcomes and strategies.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEMHCO to deliver specialist training and support.
- Demonstrate empathy, charisma and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children with SEMH.
- Previous experience working with children with Autism or Special Needs (desired).
- Commitment to long‑term support of the child.
- Ability to work full time 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, immediate start.
£80 – £95 per day, full‑time.
