- Chippenham, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Aspiring Educational Psychologist. As an Aspiring Educational Psychologist, you'll work closely with children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech and Language difficulties, and other additional learning needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
As an Aspiring Educational Psychologist, you will:
- Provide 1-1 and small group mentoring support with children with SEN needs
- Support the creation of a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Help children develop coping strategies and social skills
- A degree in psychology or a related subject
- A genuine passion for child development, special educational needs and psychology
- Patient, resilient and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
This Aspiring Educational Psychologist opportunity offers much more than classroom experience. You'll receive practical training, work alongside experienced SEN professionals and gain the skills and confidence needed for future postgraduate study and careers with psychology or related.
