Engineering Manager – CFRP Wheels and Automotive

This is a new role within the fast paced and innovative environment of Carbon Three Sixty. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the leadership and growth of the engineering team for our Wheels and Automotive value stream, building on the strong technical and quality base that has been established since the company was founded in 2017. The team is growing rapidly owing to the increased number of OEM, Hypercar, Aftermarket, Restomod, Commercial Vehicle and Defence related wheel development programmes.

As the company continues to grow its presence in the Automotive OE supply chain we are seeking an engineering leader capable of building the required engineering team and rigor to deliver existing and future projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a high‑performing engineering team
  • Work closely with Business Development and Commercial teams to respond quickly and accurately to customer enquiries
  • Take full technical ownership of key projects, from initial concept through to delivery and ongoing support
  • Ensure drawings, BOMs, BOPs and documentation reach the shop floor with complete clarity and up‑to‑date revision control
  • Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to define and maintain critical product quality characteristics
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure they meet project and business needs
  • Drive innovation across engineering and production processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and new technologies
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the organisation
  • Ensure risk assessments are in place for all engineering‑led processes
  • Provide hands‑on technical support, gaining first‑hand understanding of processes and identifying improvements
  • Coach, mentor and develop engineering team members to fulfil their potential
  • Advocate for the business – both to prospective customers and future employees
  • Be a respected leader who inspires confidence and fosters a positive, collaborative environment
Qualifications

We are keen to seek applications from experienced engineers who have a proven track record of delivering design to manufacture projects within the Automotive, Motorsport, Defence or Aerospace Sectors. Prior experience with composites and wheels is preferred but not essential.
