Are you a passionate Motorsport Engineering professional with experience in race vehicle preparation, motor sport systems, vehicle dynamics, performance engineering, diagnostics, fabrication, or motor sport technologies? Based between our Chippenham Campus and our specialist Castle Combe Campus, located within the iconic Castle Combe Race Circuit, you'll teach in a unique motor sport environment where learners benefit from both outstanding engineering facilities and direct links to one of the UK's most recognised racing venues. With access to specialist workshops and industry-focused resources, you'll help students develop the practical, technical, and professional skills employers are looking for in today's motor sport and automotive sectors.

What We Offer
Salary:
Unqualified Lecturer:  £29,294 per year plus a £3,000 pro rata Specialist Skills Shortage Bonus
Qualified Lecturer:  £31,885 - £40,814 per year  (Depending on Skills, Qualifications & Experience)  plus a £3,000 pro rata Specialist Skills Shortage Bonus
Contract Type:
Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What Youll Do
Teach and assess learners across Motorsport Engineering programmes, delivering both theoretical and practical learning activities
Deliver engaging and inclusive sessions within classrooms, workshops, garages, and specialist engineering environments
Support learners to develop knowledge and skills in race vehicle systems, engine and chassis technologies, diagnostics, fabrication, motor sport electronics, vehicle dynamics, data acquisition, and engineering practices
Embed current motor sport industry knowledge, emerging technologies, health and safety, sustainability, and professional standards into learning
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, learner support, and professionalism
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement, progression, and career readiness
What Youll Bring
A degree in Motorsport Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant industry experience within motor sport, automotive performance, race team operations, vehicle preparation, engineering, diagnostics, fabrication, or related sectors
Knowledge of current motor sport engineering practices, technologies, and industry expectations
Experience supporting, mentoring, coaching, or developing others in a professional or technical environment
A teaching qualification is welcomed  but if you dont have one yet, well support you to achieve it while you work
