An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Specialist Assessment, Intervention and Family Time (SAIFT) team as a and Family Time and Intervention Worker.

Our dedicated and committed Team consists of Social Workers and Family Time and Intervention Workers. Our Social Workers undertake complex parenting assessments for children and young people subject to care proceedings, while our Family Time and Intervention Workers provide assessed supervised and facilitated family time opportunities for children and young people when they are unable to live at home, due to safeguarding concerns.

As a Family Time and Intervention Worker you will supervise and facilitate Family Time opportunities and provide guidance, support, and modelling, with the objective of ensuring that family time is a positive experience for all. You will also work closely with our Social Workers in undertaking community‑based assessments and may also be required to provide parenting interventions within family homes.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills who has extensive previous experience of direct work with children, young people, and families. Experience in working as part of a multi‑agency team alongside a proven ability to undertake complex assessment work will be essential.
