Fleet Maintenance Controller Experience Dependent Chippenham Hybrid Working (Following Probation & Training Period) Are you a qualified Vehicle Technician looking to move away from the tools while still utilising your technical expertise? Working as part of a busy maintenance team, you will play a key role in controlling vehicle repairs, reducing downtime, managing costs, and delivering exceptional customer service to fleet clients.

Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance Controller Assess and authorise vehicle maintenance and repair requests, ensuring work is necessary, cost-effective, and completed within agreed labour times. Challenge suppliers and repairers where appropriate to ensure best value and compliance with maintenance standards. Monitor vehicle downtime and proactively manage repairs to maximise fleet availability. Liaise with workshops, customers, and suppliers to provide updates on repair progress and expected completion times.

Ensure all maintenance records, authorisations, and vehicle information are accurately recorded within company systems. Review estimates and invoices to ensure correct pricing and repair procedures have been applied. Escalate technical, commercial, or customer concerns when required. Deliver a high standard of customer service while working to deadlines, KPIs, and service level agreements. Experience / Qualifications
- Fleet Maintenance Controller Qualified Vehicle Technician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI, or equivalent automotive qualification. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, ideally covering cars, vans, LCVs, or commercial vehicles. Previous experience within a workshop, fleet management, maintenance control, service advisory, warranty, technical support, or engineering environment.
