The Division of Community Correction is recruiting for an Assistant Regional Chief (Correctional Services Manager). This position will be working in the Region 5 located at 770 Technology Way, Suite 500, Chippewa Falls, WI.

Position Details

Salary: pay schedule/range 81-01 with an annual salary of $74,422 - $124,550
, plus benefits. A 2-year Career Executive trial period is required.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Regional Chief, this position serves as Assistant Regional Chief within Region 5 of the Division of Community Corrections with significant administrative responsibility for the development and implementation of regional programs and policies; supervising and directing assigned unit offices; monitoring and controlling the region’s operating budget; and directing the region’s Purchase of Offender Goods and Services program(s) (POGS) and the Community Corrections Employment Program (CCEP).

Working relationships are maintained with public and elected officials, state and community agencies, service vendors, community leaders and all elements of the criminal justice system to enhance service delivery and resolve problems within the region. It supports ongoing system-wide and offender-specific initiatives and emphasizes offender accountability, coordination of services, and state and local community collaborations.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience in all the following:

  • Experience in supervisory functions (i.e. hiring, disciplining employees, evaluating performance, directing, coaching, and mentoring team members).
  • Conducting administrative management functions (work and program planning, compliance, budget, operational oversight, etc.).
  • Experience serving on committees and work groups in a lead role.

In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience in the following:

  • Coordinating, developing, and maintaining working relationships with communities, public, criminal justice agencies, and other agencies.
  • Experience developing and implementing programs and policies (e.g. strategy plans, analyzing, assessments/evaluations, etc.).
  • Experience with Evidence Based Practice policy development and implementation.
