HVAC Service Technician

HVAC Service Technician — position for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.

• Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Use a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary
• Inspect and maintain vehicles by checking condition and cleanliness; keep records of service, scheduling, and complete repairs
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear; notify customer and/or Operations Manager of findings
• Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
• Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact
• Determine parts to order for repairs and assess timeliness of needs
• Document work data (daily time, progress, duration) and maintain files
• Record parts, materials, labor, subcontractors, and other cost data per assignment; return unused resources
• Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Stay current on all products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
• Read and interpret product specifications
• Provide technical support to customers
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary
• Regular travel with some overnight travel as needed
