We are looking for an immediately available, meticulous and organised Finance Assistant to join a busy Accounting & Finance department based near Chipping Norton for a 6 month fixed‑term contract. This is a transactional role that focuses on supporting financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Client Details

Please note that this is an office based role, situated on a lovely site. You must be able to drive to the location and must be immediately available/on short notice to be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with journal postings
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies where necessary
  • Support the month‑end and year‑end financial close processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Provide support to the Accounting & Finance team on ad‑hoc projects
  • Maintain organised and up‑to‑date financial documentation and filing systems
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams confidently
Qualifications
  • Experience in a high volume, transactional role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • An understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Immediate availability (or on short notice)
