We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded and technically strong Chief Accountant to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy and governance of our financial operations. In this highly visible role, you will drive excellence across financial reporting, controls, statutory compliance and audit management, ensuring robust governance and financial integrity while enabling the Team to pursue its competitive ambitions in one of the most demanding and dynamic environments in global sport.

As Chief Accountant, you will lead the financial reporting and control activities of the business, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant reporting for both local and Group requirements. You will oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, manage external audits, support statutory reporting and taxation activities, and ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained across the organisation.

As a key member of the Finance leadership team, you will partner with Group Finance, external advisors and business leaders to drive continuous improvement, strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting requirements. You will also play an important role in supporting the team s ongoing development, helping Finance evolve alongside the demands of a world-class Formula One operation.

• Lead the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
• Own month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies and governance frameworks.
• Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and key accounting adjustments.
• Prepare management, Board and Group reporting packs, delivering clear financial insight and analysis.
• Lead the annual external audit process and manage relationships with auditors.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning and wider strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, systems enhancements and finance transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organisation to support informed business decisions.

We re looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience within financial accounting, financial control, group reporting or external audit.
• Strong knowledge of UK-adopted IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements.
• Proven experience managing external audits and working with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent understanding of financial controls, balance sheet governance and risk management principles.
• Experience using Dynamics or similar ERP and reporting systems.
