Job Description

Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? Alpine F1 Team has an opportunity within the Composites Department as a Composite Technician – Assembly & Trimming on a fixed term contract until the end of 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our composite manufacturing operation, playing a crucial role in the final stages of producing high-performance components for our Formula 1 race cars. You will be responsible for the precision trimming, assembly, bonding, and finishing of composite parts, ensuring every component meets the exacting standards required for world-class motor sport competition.

The Role
  • Trimming, assembling, and finishing composite components in accordance with technical drawings, templates, and specifications.
  • Carrying out bond preparation activities and working with aerospace-grade adhesives.
  • Ensuring all parts meet required dimensional and cosmetic standards.
  • Maintaining high levels of quality and productivity in line with departmental expectations.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conformances in line with internal procedures.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple departments to meet production requirements and delivery deadlines.
  • Following all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within the working environment.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience trimming, assembling, and finishing composite components, ideally within motor sport or high-performance engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, templates, and trim instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional quality standards.
  • Experience using hand and power tools for precision trimming, drilling, and fitting.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work to demanding deadlines.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and associated documentation.
  • Familiarity with composite materials, adhesives, manufacturing processes, and post-cure component handling.
  • Experience with in Formula 1 or elite motor sport is desirable.
  • Knowledge of composite bonding and assembly techniques is desirable.

    Experience working within a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment is desirable.
