Scope
We are looking for an enthusiastic Manufacturing Compliance & Quality Engineer to join our Operations department to provide end to end support for assigned area of production to investigate and achieve resolution for issues impacting production whilst documenting these activities in an effective and compliant manner in line with QA procedures and communicating outcomes to stakeholders and work with them to obtain relevant approvals.
You'll monitor quality indicators, resolve non-conformities, ensure adherence to systems like ISO 9001, and implement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Please be aware this role is a Fixed Term Contract (12-18 Months).
Key Responsibilities- Analyse data to provide early identification of trends and to take appropriate action to prevent or minimise impact on production.
- Perform activities to support and facilitate continuous Improvement of assigned area of production.
- Developing & enhancing quality procedures, training employees, analysing quality data (like scrap or rework), and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with established quality management systems and regulatory requirements. Feeding back to the production Team Manager.
- Monitor and analyse quality data by tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap rates, rework levels, and defects per million (PPM) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Identify and Resolve Quality Issues by investigating root causes of product and process quality issues and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support New Product Introductions to ensure new products are developed and built to meet quality standards by supporting new product introduction (R&D) processes.
- Ensure regulatory rompliance by staying informed about regulatory changes and ensure products and processes comply with relevant regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
- Support with process improvement to help lead initiatives to reduce variation, waste, and defects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- HNC, degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a quality or manufacturing role.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with different teams, management, and Internal / external stakeholders.
- Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Remote working – up to 2 days per week
- Flexi time – covering 37.5 hours per week with core working hours of 9:30am-12 Noon and 2:00pm-4:00pm (3:30pm on Fridays)
