Our Simulation Development group plays a key role in supporting car design, performance optimisation, and race preparation through advanced software tools and virtual testing environments. As a Simulation Development Student Placement,you’llbe part of a team that builds andmaintainsthe simulation infrastructure that underpins engineering decisions across the team.

The Role

During the placement,you’llsupport the development, testing, and deployment of simulation software used across the technical departments.

You’llwork closely with simulation engineers, software developers, and performance analysts to ensure tools are accurate, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assistin developing andmaintainingsimulation tools and frameworks

• Support the integration of simulation software with engineering workflows

• Helpvalidatesimulation outputs against real-world data

• Contribute to documentation,testing and user support

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation tools meet performance and usability requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• Currently studying a degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university

• Strong programming skills

• Good understandingofsimulationtechniques and numerical methodsis a must have.
  
  Knowledge ofvehicledynamics isdesirablebut not essential.

• Experience with software development tools and version control systems

• Passion for motor sport and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role

• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
