Position: 2301 Student Welfare Officer/School

Chua Chu Kang Primary School seeks a Student Support Officer for a 12‑month contract from 2 March 2026 to 31 December 2026, with a possible one‑year extension into 2027.

Key working hours:
Monday‑Thursday 7:00 am–4:30 pm (incl. 1 hr lunch break);
Friday 7:00 am–4:00 pm (incl. 1 hr lunch break). Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.

Services required Student Welfare and Support
  • Provide immediate buddy support for students in distress.
  • Facilitate skills training and peer support programmes.
  • Monitor student welfare needs and progress.
Case Management and Coordination
  • Maintain confidential case files and comprehensive documentation.
  • Support referrals to community resources and specialist services.
  • Generate and prepare reports.
Prevention and Early Intervention
  • Implement school‑wide programmes (mental health awareness, anti‑bullying, resilience).
  • Prepare resource materials.
Family and Community Engagement
  • Provide parent support.
  • Connect families with appropriate community resources.
Administrative Duties
  • Support planning for school events.
  • Prepare statistical reports on student welfare trends.
  • Attend and contribute to team discussions, meetings and professional development.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by school leaders.
Requirements
  • Minimum a GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a school or related educational setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting students with additional needs or special educational requirements.
  • Ability to monitor and manage students’ tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with students and parents.
  • Strong administrative skills (record keeping, filing).
