Client Accountant

£30,000 – £36,000 DOE. Full Time. Office Based.

ALF Recruit is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a long‑established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, to recruit an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper into their growing team.

• £30,000 – £36,000 DOE

• Bookkeeping and accounts preparation across a varied portfolio of clients
• VAT returns and management accounts
• Year‑end accounts preparation
• Liaising directly with clients and managing your own relationships
• Working closely with senior team members and partners on more complex assignments

• Solid practice accounts or bookkeeping experience, confident across the full bookkeeping cycle
• Qualified by experience, or holding a relevant qualification – ACCA/ACA/AAT
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Experience with cloud software (Xero, Quick Books, Sage) a real plus
• Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in the quality of your work
• Someone who values being part of a close‑knit team, not a number in a corporate structure
