We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive business near Chorley, Lancashire, for the position of Car & LCV Technician. This full-time, permanent role offers an excellent career progression opportunity within a modern, well-equipped workshop environment. Duties of the Car & LCV Technician:

Conduct servicing and repairs on cars and vans to high standards
Diagnose faults accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer software
Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines, and electrical systems
Service and repair trailers where required
Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing and inspections
Conduct roller brake testing and fault diagnosis
Maintain detailed documentation for each job, including job cards and parts used
Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards
Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor regarding tooling or support needs

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Commercial Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Proven experience as a Car & LCV Technician with strong diagnostic capabilities
Full UK driving licence is essential
Own a comprehensive set of tools
Organised, motivated, and committed to delivering quality results
Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
