Opportunity

As Senior Estimator, you’ll be the driving force behind the preparation and coordination of competitive, commercially‑driven tenders for new build housing projects. Your in‑depth knowledge of the social housing sector will be key as you take ownership of estimation on schemes ranging from £5m to £30m. This role has a clear path into a Preconstruction Manager position for those seeking long‑term progression and broader strategic influence.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Lead the preparation of detailed cost plans and tender submissions for affordable housing schemes.

• Interpret drawings, specifications, and client requirements to deliver accurate and competitive pricing.

• Engage with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to support bid success.

• Analyse commercial risk, build methodology, and programme to support value engineering.

• Play a key role in client meetings, contributing to bid presentations and strategy.

• Support preconstruction team development, mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
