We are a regional main construction contractor with a range of projects from £5 million to £19 million, including new build housing and low‑rise apartments. The role is for senior design managers for affordable housing projects.

• Appraise consultant appointments including costs
• Audit and assess design information before and during construction
• Report on risk to directors and project team
• Advise on alternative efficient and compliant design solutions
• Negotiate programmes for information delivery
• Attend meetings as required
• Visit construction sites to appraise work
• Provide technical and design advice and assistance to colleagues and group companies

• Proven experience in planning submissions and pre‑construction processes
• Experience delivering new build apartments or affordable housing projects
• Excellent technical expertise in construction of social housing building types
• Knowledge of current design, planning legislation and compliance issues
• Outstanding IT skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
