We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Agent to join our North West Division, based from our Chorley Office - and there has never been a better time to join!

The Role

To leadall aspects of planning and delivery with minimal supervision for asinglesmall to mediumprojectorsupport the delivery of alarge and/orcomplex project.

  • To lead the Project Team throughout the delivery phase of the project including completion / project close out, in accordance with SCL process and procedures.
  • Ensure Plan Safe:
    Work Safe is implemented by the team completing all safety components and documentation on all sites.
  • Ensure a baseline programme is in place, managed, monitored and updated in line with the contract requirements.
  • To deliver project in line with programme by proactively managing schedule risk and opportunity.
  • Confirm delivery strategy and selection of subcontractors is in place through the approved supply chain, ensuring performance is fed back to the key account manager (KAM)
  • Full accountability for all aspects of commercial performance, cost control, forecasting and the monitoring and reporting thereof.
  • Own the client relationship fortheproject.
  • Report project, progress and performance (internal/external) in line with business process and contractual requirements.
  • Manage risks and opportunities using a costed risked register and profit bridge. Timely escalation within the business regarding risks.
  • Ensure a robust procurement schedule is in place, maintained and updated throughout the life of the project.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified to HNC level in a relevant technical discipline or relevant experience
  • SMSTS
  • Extensive working knowledge of the civil engineering industry and infrastructure is desirable.
  • Proven experience inleadingpeople, performance, processes and developing teams
  • Ability to positively challenge and set standards and goals for the team
  • Understanding of schedule risk and opportunity management
  • Strong safetyand qualityfocus
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
  • Client and stakeholder relationship management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of schedule management and programming
