Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Location:

Central Lancashire (Chorley, Leyland, Preston & Bamber Bridge)
Pay: £107 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and role requirements)

Hours:

08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract:

Term Time Only

We are currently recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work within specialist education provisions across Central Lancashire. This role involves supporting both primary and secondary aged pupils, many of whom may have additional needs.

The Role:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support

Working within specialist settings tailored to individual student needs

Creating a safe, positive and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

Ability to travel to Chorley, Leyland, Preston and Bamber Bridge

Experience working with children or young people is desirable, particularly in SEN or specialist settings

Minimum of 24 months employment history, with no significant gaps

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce), or willingness to apply and pay for one

Reliable, patient and committed to supporting student development

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
