Teaching Assistant 2A

We wish to appoint a part‑time teaching assistant to support our Early Years classroom teaching and organisation, and to help support any children with additional needs. The TA will be based within our Early years classroom working under the guidance of the class teacher to help ensure a calm, happy working environment where children flourish. Experience of working with Early Years children and the curriculum will be a benefit.

The role is part‑time, working 8.55am‑3.20pm for 5 days a week. The contract will be for 38 weeks, term time, and will be temporary until 31st August 2027 initially.

We are an outstanding school with outstanding personal development (April 2025), as judged by Ofsted.

We require our TAs to be hard‑working, hands‑on, able to use initiative independently and with excellent attendance. You will be involved in the daily practicalities of the classroom, including medical and hygiene needs or supporting children with SEN. Training will be provided for first aid, any medical or SEN needs. A friendly, positive attitude will enable you to fit into our team.

• Have the ability and experience to work at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 2

• Ability to speak and write in Standard English

• GCSE maths and English Grade C or above
• Experience of supporting teaching and learning in the primary classroom
• Experience of working within an Early Years setting/class
