Product Data Analyst Job Responsibilities

• Analyse client’s technical data for both new assets/products and changes at the component level – for inclusion in parts catalogues and/or stocking in the Distribution Centre (DC)
• Assist the Dennis Eagle Parts Team to resolve technical enquiries arising from historical parts information, vehicle build information and design change requests
• Investigate supersession parts which may require research into the original designs (compared to new designs)
• Assist other TVS departments in resolving manufacturing, stocking and quality queries
• Liaise with client representatives to resolve queries relating to product data
• Assist third parties using the PDM system when required
• Check the validity of parts ‘assigned’ from third‑party PDM users before promoting them to ‘released’ status
• Look for process improvement and/or efficiencies in data handling

• Ability to read, and interpret:
  Electrical drawings;
  Asset/product configurations & specifications;
  Engineering‑released documents (PCNs);
  Production/manufacturing indented bills of material (eBoM)
• Possess a good understanding of engineering principles and processes
• Ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines and targets
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to form effective working relationships with both internal and external partners
• Aptitude for information/data gathering

• Engineering qualifications or time‑served engineering experience
• Previous experience interpreting bills of material
• Previous experience in handling technical data and management of that data
• Previous experience working with PLM systems
• Building relationships with Suppliers and/or Purchasing teams
• Understanding Health & Safety (H&S) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) information
