HR Advisor 3 month FTC

Salary: £35,000

Chorley (3 in/ 2 from home)

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a growing business for an experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension or a permanent opportunity.

This is a broad generalist role where you'll support managers across the business with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, absence management, HR administration and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advice and support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, including BS7858 screening and pre-employment checks.
  • Deliver inductions and ensure a positive onboarding experience for new starters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and documentation.
  • Support TUPE activities, consultations and employee communications.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure employee changes are processed accurately.
  • Draft contracts, letters and HR correspondence.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, HR projects and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
About You
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases.
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Knowledge of BS7858 screening and vetting processes.
  • Experience supporting TUPE processes.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • CIPD qualification desirable.
