Fleet Maintenance Volunteer
Our vehicles play a vital role in supporting the work of Derian House, helping our teams care for babies, children, young people, and their families. We’re looking for a Fleet Maintenance Volunteer to help keep our cars, minibus and van safe, clean, and well-maintained.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in looking after vehicles and enjoys practical, hands‑on tasks. Working independently, your support will help ensure our fleet is always ready for use.
What you’ll be doing :- Carry out regular visual safety checks on cars, minibus & van
- Record and complete basic vehicle check logs
- Valet and clean vehicles, keeping them presentable and well cared for
- Report any issues or concerns to the Facilities Team
- Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Enjoy looking after vehicles and keeping them clean and organised
- Have a good eye for detail and like things done properly
- Happy to work outside in different weathers
- Take pride in supporting behind the scenes work that makes a big difference

Please note:The minimum age of volunteering is 18yrs
We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check
All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge
