Transportation Advisor

Auto Zone is seeking a Distribution Center Transportation Advisor to oversee the daily inbound and outbound flow of fleet equipment and drivers. This role is critical in ensuring DOT compliance, back‑haul coordination, driver dispatch, and store delivery execution.

• Coordinate daily equipment assignments for private fleet drivers.
• Dispatch drivers to cover routes efficiently and ensure on‑time deliveries.
• Manage driver issues, including equipment breakdowns, accidents, and scheduling challenges.
• Accept or decline back‑hauls based on driver availability and delivery schedules.
• Troubleshoot and manage TMS system.
• Handle store‑related transportation issues, including "Where's my truck" calls.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and Auto Zone safety policies.

• 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management.

• Associate’s degree (two‑year program) or equivalent formal training program.
• Experience with driver dispatch, fleet coordination, and DOT compliance.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems.
