This part time Accounts Assistant role offers 20 to 25 hours a week, spread across five days, structured around you.
You'll take ownership of the purchase and sales ledger, keeping the numbers accurate and the business running smoothly.
From reconciliations to cash flow forecasting, this is a role where precision is genuinely valued.

• Exposure to the full finance function, from daily transactions through to cash flow forecasting
• Supportive management within a close-knit finance team

• Enter daily financial transactions, allocating payments and receipts into the accounting system
• Keep the purchase and sales ledger accurate and up to date, processing invoices and resolving discrepancies
• Monitor aged debtors, chase outstanding balances and send customer statements
• Reconcile bank statements, and customer and supplier accounts
• Produce weekly cash flow forecasts and reconcile monthly salary accounts
• Support month end reporting and liaise with internal departments on account queries

• Experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role, confident processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
• Comfortable reconciling bank statements, and customer and supplier accounts
• Experience chasing aged debt and managing credit control processes
• Strong Excel skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Experience producing cash flow forecasts or supporting month end reporting
• AAT or equivalent accounts qualification desirable but not essential
