Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Project & Program Management
A great opportunity to join a Water sector specialist awarded tier-one framework status with Bournemouth Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover of £200 million, requires a Project Manager on a turnkey clean water project with a value of £85million.
As Project Manager, you will lead full-lifecycle project execution—from initial design and construction through to commissioning and sign-off. Your focus will be delivering contracts safely, on schedule, and within budget while driving efficiency and exceptional client satisfaction.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for:- Safety & Compliance:
Enforce high safety, quality, and environmental standards across all teams, including direct staff and subcontractors, while ensuring full BMS implementation throughout the project lifecycle. - Project Planning & Execution:
Develop, approve, and track Project Execution Plans (PEPs), method statements, and detailed construction plans from scheme conception through to final completion. - Commercial & Financial Control:
Proactively manage project finances, accurate forecasting, cost estimations, non-conformity cost reporting, and final handover record-keeping. - Team & Stakeholder Management:
Ensure adequate resource allocation and clear team responsibilities while fostering strong, professional relationships with clients, JV partners, and suppliers. - Technical Expertise & Development:
Maintain deep working knowledge of water and wastewater design and build practices while engaging in continuous professional development and industry networking.
- Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in engineering, construction, or a commercial discipline, alongside a recognised Project Management Qualification (PMQ). - Industry & Delivery
Experience:
Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary design and construction projects through full delivery, ideally within the water sector. - Contracts & Governance:
Deep knowledge of construction contracts (specifically NEC and/or IChemE), including negotiation, administration, and presenting at corporate governance reviews. - Team & Leadership
Skills:
Strong strategic, operational, and technical leadership to motivate teams and consistently hit time, cost, and quality targets. - Communication & Stakeholders:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and end-users. - Safety &
Risk Management:
Practical experience in Risk & Opportunity Management alongside a working knowledge of CDM and construction health and safety standards.
Location:
This role is based in Christchurch, Dorset
Salary:
Up to £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
