About the Post

We are seeking a skilled Caretaker to join our dynamic Site Team. This presents a unique opportunity for a talented individual to contribute their expertise in shaping an optimal learning environment for both students and staff, thereby supporting Twynham TGS’s commitment to excellence. The Site Team plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall learning atmosphere, ensuring a secure and conducive space for everyone.

Twynham School holds a distinguished status, enjoying a stellar reputation at both the local and national levels. We are a heavily over-subscribed school where achievement is exceptionally high, students are well-behaved and eager to learn and relationships are very special.

Based primarily at Twynham School but you may be required to work across both of our sites.

We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:

  • Work within a highly regarding organisation shaping the future for young people across Christchurch
  • Play a key role in ensuring calm, organisational effectiveness in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
  • Be responsible for the compliance, safety, cleanliness, maintenance and security of the school site, furnishings and grounds to the expected standards of the Twynham Learning Trust
  • Plan, organise, execute and inspect all relevant works relating to the school site
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
