Stockport Salary: £36,000 - £40,000  Bonus The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Design Manager to join a growing manufacturing business based in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced design professional to lead a small team while overseeing a variety of projects from concept through to production. Working closely with customers and internal departments, you will ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a small design team. Manage project workloads and priorities. Oversee the creation of design concepts and technical drawings. Liaise with customers to understand project requirements. Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacture. Work closely with production teams to support successful project delivery. Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the design process. Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the growth of the department.

About You The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience within a design role, ideally with leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Experience working within a manufacturing environment. Strong technical and design capabilities. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. A proactive and organised approach to work. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
