You'll be the technical bridge between customer drawings and the shop floor, shaping every project before it reaches production.

  • Death in service cover
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Free on-site parking and uniform
  • Free eye test with £80 contribution towards glasses
  • Free hot drinks
  • 39-hour week with a half-day Friday

As a Pre-production Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations from customer specifications, drawings and BOMs
  • Plan manufacturing processes, routing and material requirements for efficient production
  • Liaise directly with customers to clarify technical, specification and delivery requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers on pricing, lead times and material availability
  • Identify manufacturing risks, cost implications and technical issues through drawing and BOM review

As a Pre-production Engineer, your experience will include:

  • Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and BOMs
  • Experience preparing cost estimates or quotations in a manufacturing environment
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience with CNC machining, fabrication or welding processes (desirable)
