CNC Turner or Miller - Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location:

Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: £19-£21 per hour +monthly bonus

Hours:

40 hours per week - Flexitime (between 6am-6pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-3pm Fri)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are recruiting for an established precision engineering business with over 50 years' experience, manufacturing high-quality, safety-critical components for demanding sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Oil & Gas and Nuclear.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Turner or Miller / Programmer Setter Operator to join their skilled team.

The Role
  • Programme, set and operate CNC Turning or Milling machines.
  • Work with Fanuc controls on Doosan lathes or Mills
  • Produce precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work across a variety of materials including stainless steel, titanium, ferrous/non-ferrous metals and plastics.
  • Carry out first-off inspection and quality checks.
  • Support other areas of the workshop when required, including deburring
  • Work across a varied sub-contract environment, meaning you'll have the opportunity to continually develop your skills.
  • Work with modern CNC equipment, including 2-5 axis Turning Centres or 3-5 Axis Mills
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Miller
  • Strong programming, setting and operating experience.
  • Experience with Fanuc
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working to tight tolerances.
  • Good understanding of tooling, cutting conditions and machining processes.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
