Base pay rangeStarting salary: £25,604 + £2,000 OTE, with annual salary reviews, and an annual holiday allowance increase up to 26 days plus bank holidays. Working hours are 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (with overtime opportunities).
Location:
Christchurch, Bournemouth, Purbeck and Ringwood Areas.

As a Lawn Operative, you will be responsible for delivering a high level of professional service to customers across your treatment area. With training, you will be able to identify lawn issues and offer advice on treatments that may be required. Building relationships with our customers is essential; you will therefore be able to talk to our customers on every visit, offering expert advice on our products and services, helping us to build lawns that our customers will love!
Responsibilities- Maintain contact with the customer before a treatment is carried out to inform them when you will be attending (call ahead).
- Visit a number of designated customers on a daily basis to apply fertiliser and herbicide.
- Inform the customer before any work commences if they are present; otherwise continue with the treatment.
- Notify the customer that the treatment has been completed and supply the invoice explaining the work carried out.
- Inform the customer of the next treatment date.
- Identify any lawn issues and offer necessary advice on lawn and mowing practice and any additional treatments.
- Carry out essential Spring/Autumn machine work such as Aerators, Scarifiers and lawn top-dressers using a variety of professional lawncare machinery.
- Perform aeration and scarification safely, using regular garden tools to clear waste.
- Work in a team or alone on machine work which can be physically demanding; good fitness is required.
- Maintain all health and safety standards as supplied by Green Thumb Limited.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure all servicing is completed.
- Ensure a professional and smart appearance at all times.
- Carry out any necessary simple service calls as they arise.
- Carry out lawn analysis and quotations as required.
- Support business growth by speaking to potential customers and providing point of sale material as requested.
- Maintain and update stock reports when required.
- Have a full UK driving licence for manual vehicles.
- Have excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Have a passion for lawn care.
