JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a LGV / HGV Class 2 Driver to join a well-established and expanding transport operation based in Christchurch.
As a LGV / HGV Class 2 Driver you will be responsible for completing planned delivery routes, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and providing a professional service to customers at every delivery point.
The LGV / HGV Class 2 Driver role requires a strong commitment to road safety, compliance with transport regulations, and effective communication with the traffic office throughout the working day.
This position would suit a dependable individual who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and representing the organisation positively while on the road.

DUTIES- Safe Vehicle Operation: Driving to a safe standard, considering vehicle size and road conditions
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to speed limits and transport legislation at all times
- Vehicle Checks: Completing daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects promptly
- Route Deliveries: Carrying out deliveries in line with planned routes and schedules
- Traffic Office Communication: Liaising with the traffic office regarding delivery issues or delays
- Collections Management: Contacting the traffic office for collection instructions once deliveries are completed
- Documentation Handling: Collecting, managing, and returning all delivery paperwork accurately
- End of Shift Processes: Returning all required documentation at the end of each shift
- Health and Safety Compliance: Wearing supplied uniform and appropriate PPE for all tasks
ESSENTIAL
- A valid Class 2 (Category
C) driving licence
- Driver CPC qualification card
- Completion of required Driver CPC training hours
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing driving role
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and geography
- A professional, reliable, and safety‑focused approach
- Confidence in problem‑solving and decision‑making
- Experience in multi‑drop delivery environments
- A strong understanding of transport and logistics operations
- Performance‑related bonus paid monthly
