7.5t Driver / Warehouse Supervisor – Christchurch   Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm | Full-time | Immediate start available

TLP Recruitment is recruiting for a  7.5t Driver / Warehouse Supervisor  to join an established company in Christchurch.
This newly created role combines warehouse duties, delivery coordination and supervisory responsibilities, with  delivery driving when cover is needed . Working alongside the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, you'll help keep the warehouse organised and the daily delivery operation running smoothly.
If you have warehouse, transport or distribution experience and are ready to take the next step, we'd like to hear from you.  Previous supervisory experience is beneficial, but not essential.

Your day-to-day role
Receiving, checking and recording incoming stock
Unloading deliveries using a forklift or reach truck, following training
Replenishing picking bays and carrying out stock checks
Working with  frozen, chilled and ambient goods , including daily work in the freezer
Checking driver returns and organising returned stock for onward shipment
Planning delivery routes using the company computer system
Speaking with drivers about the following day's deliveries
Checking vehicles and completing inspection paperwork
Processing daily delivery paperwork, including DVNs and uplifts
Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised
Supporting the manager with daily warehouse and distribution activities
Making deliveries in a 7.5t vehicle when required
What you'll need
A valid  7.5t / Category C1 driving licence
Previous experience in warehouse, distribution or transport work
Confidence using computers and completing paperwork accurately
Good communication and organisational skills
A reliable, practical approach and willingness to get involved
Ability to work in chilled and freezer environments
Flexibility to cover  occasional Saturdays for holidays or sickness
Team-leading, supervisory, forklift or reach truck experience would be an advantage, but  forklift and reach truck training will be provided .
