The Studio Photographer (OEM) is a contract role and is responsible for product photography across Moto Sport’s OEM parts catalog, from Honda to Yamaha and everything in between. This position requires technical photo ability and a critical eye for detail. Primary responsibilities will live with OEM Parts. This role is challenging – above and beyond the day‑to‑day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast‑paced team.
This position will report to the Sr. Director of Merchandise. You will work 100% on‑site at Backcountry’s Fulfillment center in Christiansburg, VA.
What you bring to the role:- Photograph OEM parts for Moto Sport’s e‑commerce site and marketplaces
- Focus styling, lighting, and product details to best showcase products
- Unpackage and repackage product
- Meet daily/weekly assignments while contributing to internal KPIs
- Maintain workstation and studio equipment
- Follow inventory management protocols
- One‑of‑a‑kind position, will be mostly working solo with direction from management
- Proven proficiency in digital photography; e‑commerce work preferred (please provide portfolio)
- Understanding of digital cameras, lighting systems, and light boxes
- Working knowledge of Capture One, Adobe Creative Cloud, Lightroom CC, tethered capture, and OS X
- Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Self‑motivated mentality
- Able to perform a repetitive task with speed and accuracy
- Pay: $20/hour
- This position is 100% on‑site, located inside of the Christiansburg, VA warehouse
- This is a 4 month contract position, with potential to be extended
