Overview
Locum Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician job in Christiansburg, VA – pay $1500/day to $1700/day.
Start Date:
12-22-25. Length: 24 weeks.
Schedule:
24 Hour On Call;
Standard 3, 12-Hour shifts 07:00 - 07:00. Facility type:
Out-Patient Clinic.
- Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
- Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds and other diagnostic procedures.
- Perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections and minimally invasive surgeries (depending on scope of practice).
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
- Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception and family planning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians and neonatologists, for optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- A CGME or AOA accredited OB/GYN residency program completion.
- Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by ABOG or AOA.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia.
- Typically at least one year of obstetric and gynecological care experience in a clinical or hospital setting (varies by assignment).
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency in gynecological exams, ultrasounds and surgical procedures.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for surgical procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
- Time management and organizational skills; empathetic patient care.
