Come join the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Job duties and responsibilities to include:
Carotid ultrasounds  Venous ultrasounds  Arterial ultrasounds  Renal ultrasounds  Take part in the training of students and staff as assigned.
Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Experience:

Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography.  ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required.
* Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
* Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
* Trains students and staff as assigned.
* Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
* Assesses data reflective of the patient status.  Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
* Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.#

** High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

* Experience:

* * Licensure, certification, and/or registration**: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.

Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
