This role is for an adult inpatient psychiatry position requiring on-site work with a typical schedule of weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm, along with one weekend per month and a rotating on-call duty every three weeks during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a census of 10-12 patients daily
- Providing psychiatric care, including admits and discharges (1-2 per day)
- Weekend rounding supported by residents or nurse practitioners
- Experience in adult inpatient psychiatry
- Ability to handle admissions, discharges, and patient management
- Strong communication and organizational skills
The position offers competitive compensation, paid malpractice insurance, and pre-paid travel and housing expenses. It requires a minimum 12-month commitment, with longer assignments encouraged. The role provides 24-hour access to a dedicated healthcare consultant and utilizes an online portal for assignment details and time entry.
