Job Description
C&C Boiler Sales and Service, Inc. is seeking a qualified Service Technician to join our team. We specialize in power plant, heating, mechanical contracting, and industrial products including packaged boilers, industrial burners, heat exchangers, and other boiler plant equipment for various applications. C&C Boiler provides new product sales, service, parts, technical support, testing, and training throughout Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect equipment to identify and diagnose operational problems.
- Perform repairs, replace gaskets, and miscellaneous controls & parts.
- Perform annual maintenance inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair burners of all manufacturers.
- Install new low‑emissions burners.
- Retrofit boiler controls, including PLC, microprocessor, and instrumentation components/systems.
- Commission, troubleshoot, and adjust combustion on a variety of burners and boilers.
- Document parts required for replacement & repair and provide detailed written reports of services rendered.
- Request materials needed to complete tasks within company guidelines and budgets.
- Drive to multiple locations and transport materials with provided vehicle.
- Submit electronic paperwork daily.
- OSHA safety training and 10 Panel drug screen compliance.
- 3+ years of boiler installation and maintenance experience.
- Experience LOTO, draining, filling, operating, troubleshooting, inspecting, and testing hot water and steam boilers.
- Electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, belt replacement, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Proficient use of technology, computers, and software including Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver's license with clean insurance record.
- Daily verbal, written, and electronic communication required.
- Excellent customer service skills at all times.
- Salary: $75,000–$150,000 DOE, including overtime compensation.
- 401(k) Plan with 100% vested, 4% safe harbor match (first 3% matched 100%, next 2% matched 50%).
