Transdev in Chula Vista, CA is hiring a Radio Dispatcher. The Radio Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with operators and provides customer support to clients.

• $22.97 – $30.25 (ATU Collective Bargaining Agreement pay scale; starting pay $22.97 with progression to $30.25 over 3 years)

• Vacation: up to 20 days based on years of service
• Paid Sick Leave: 7 days

• Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route timing, incidents, etc.
• Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding trips, including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
• Clear radio of all traffic; obtain important information from coach operators concerning direction, location and problems.
• Relay information to supervisors and other services as needed (emergency and police).
• Relay route change and delay information; assign new buses as required.
• Document and review the radio system and/or log, ensuring that the situation has been managed until completion.
• Other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Technical Degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 1+ years of dispatching experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis.)

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Employee will spend long periods sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment is a combination of indoors and outdoors.
