We have an immediate opening for a Stress Engineer at our aerospace location in Chula Vista, CA
. The primary function of this position is to perform structural analysis of in‑service aircraft nacelle allowable damages and repairs.
- Utilize hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis, and other tools to perform structural stress substantiation.
- Provide technical recommendations to repair engineers and document analysis methodology, assumptions, and results.
- Collaborate with others, train up‑and‑coming engineers, and review their work.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions.
- BS degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Structural Analysis or Stress Engineering.
- Experience analyzing composite laminate and metallic components, preferably in aerospace structures.
- Knowledge of allowable damages and repairs for metallic and composite aircraft structures.
- Proficiency with FEA tools, preferably MSC NASTRAN / PATRAN.
- Proficiency with mathematical and data software, e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, Mathcad.
Pay Range: $92,000 – $95,000
Compensation decisions are based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job‑related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

This role is an on‑site position located in Chula Vista, California
.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation to meet the required working hours.
- Work in a shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements: No travel is required.
