What You Will Do
  • Supports onsite investigations of potential supplier issues to determine accurate disposition.
  • Manages supplier quality issues through monitoring/escalation processes, escape management, processing of supplier submission of non‑conforming material and supporting internal MRB processes.
  • Initiates part specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
  • Supports supplier qualification / certification and FAI activity.
  • Manages source inspection and material release processes.
  • Performs escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving (Red‑X & 8D) and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers.
  • Drives Corrective Action Boards/QC Clinics with suppliers.
  • Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier‑specific quality initiative strategies and addresses with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), driving their implementation.
  • Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance.
  • Works within a cross‑functional team supporting the Quality organization by managing and driving to closure of their activities and schedules.
  • Drives APQP tool adoption.
  • Travels to manufacturing sites to assist in quality CI events.
  • Runs and drives regular meetings with the Quality Leadership to understand status and open issues.
  • Performs supplier compliance audits and follows up on corrective action.
  • Collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to generate and present executive‑level presentations to leadership.
  • Travels up to 50%, primarily to Mexicali, MX.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with quality investigations.
  • Experience in MS Office suite creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Working experience with Quality and Continuous Improvement tools.
  • Experience communicating and making presentations to senior‑level leadership.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 requirements.
  • Experience with RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action).
  • Experience working and interacting on a manufacturing shop floor.
  • Experience working in a central quality or manufacturing organization.
  • Experience with SAP, EtQ, CATIA, etc.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent (or CORE).
  • Project Engineering experience.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (AS9145

    CQE) certification.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor.
