The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for conducting neurovascular and other sonographic exams on patients under the direct orders of a physician. The Technician is accountable at all times for patient safety.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Responsible for knowing Ultrasound Technician scope of practice and working within it, accountable at all times to an attending physician.
- Prepares exam rooms and patients for ultrasound examinations; maintains ultrasound equipment and machinery; notifies supervisor immediately of equipment defects.
- Prepares for the exam by performing an adequate time‑out period, verifying that the procedure to be performed will be performed on the correct patient for the correct study.
Education and Experience
- Vascular Ultrasound technician education or other related education either in progress or completed.
- TCD experience preferred.
- RVT preferred.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Furnish proof of COVID‑19 vaccination.

- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers and payors.
- The ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical working environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer‑based systems such as Excel, Word, and the Internet with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Per‑diem or Part‑time.
- Monday - Friday.
