Position Summary
Massage Therapist – Part Time. The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well‑being, and enhance the guest’s fitness experience while living the mission, vision, and core values of Life Spa and Salon. The therapist builds relationships with other departments, educates clients on the benefits of massage therapy, designs sessions around guests’ specific needs, and suggests massage schedules for recurring sessions.
The role works with the entire Life Spa and Salon team to provide a superior experience in a professional atmosphere.
- Greets and services members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provides individualized massage therapy services and treatments that meet the clients’ needs and expectations.
- Initiates, develops, and maintains personalized relationships with clients.
- Educates clients on Life Spa and Salon products, services, and treatments.
- Maintains Life Spa and Salon appearance and cleanliness.
- Performs as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimens.
- Promotes and sells massage therapy services and treatments and encourages repeat business.
- Remaining current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Massage Therapy License.
- Ability to perform all types of massage therapy services and treatments.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
- Knowledge of basic PC operating.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds.
- 2 years of massage experience in a professional environment.
- Knowledge of body treatments.
- Experience with Salon Biz.
This position receives a base hourly rate equivalent to minimum wage. In addition to incentive pay between 15% and 55% depending on team member productivity.
