Per-Diem Occupational Health Nurse; RN

Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a per-diem contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known client located in Chula Vista, CA.


This clinic offers occupational and preventative care only for employees onsite. You will typically be the only medical professional onsite. Primarily there for first-aid, basic walk-in care (minor acute care like colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.) and in case of an emergency.

Shifts needed so far, 7am to 3:30pm: Thursday November 5th and Friday November 6th with three shifts sometime prior to starting, for orientation/training.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
• Minimum (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Preferred experience in:
  Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections type setting
• Recent clinical experience and strong first-aid skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Provide wellness materials/information
• Provide medical testing such as pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Charting/assessments
• First-aid and minor acute care (ie triage - cold sores, rashes, pink eye, eye flushes, etc)
• Respond to emergencies and provide emergency medical care for employees onsite (assist First Responders in medical emergencies)

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis between Monday and Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm

    * Shifts are very infrequent, covering when their full-time nurse needs time off of work (PTO and sick time call outs)
• BLS certified (hands on courses only - no online accepted)
• Yearly TB test or QuantiFERON Gold
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship (ie U.S. Passport or original U.S. Birth Certificate) for security badging/clearance
