Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, therapeutic, and efficient care to patients and their families. This includes individualized care that progresses patients toward self-identified, holistic, and personalized goals. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring quality outcomes and collaborating with healthcare team members as needed. The RN also serves as a patient and family advocate, ensuring satisfaction and excellence in care.
Required Qualifications:
- Active CA RN license
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or comparable certification (must be an 8-hour class with at least half of the class in person) - At least three years of recent RN experience in an RN role
- At least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
- BSN or ADN required
- Experience in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary communication
- Knowledge of adult-learning theory for patient and family education
- Ability to adapt nursing interventions to meet diverse socio-cultural needs
- Responsibilities include assessing patient and family needs, developing and implementing care plans, evaluating progress, and coordinating with healthcare team members.
- Documentation of care and communication with the healthcare team are essential.
- Delegation of tasks to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice is required.
