Job Description
- Assist Field Service personnel with removing and overhauling electrical, mechanical systems and equipment using government authorized procedures.
- Assist in coordinating tests, or modifying a wide variety of test equipment using authorized test procedures. Sets up and operates equipment and records data.
- Applies conventional engineering practices to develop or prepare schematics, parts lists, or make recommendations regarding these items.
- Responds to Fleet emergency calls from customer and assigned Field Service personnel and maintains an inventory of parts and tooling for Field Service operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
- Required to sit, move about, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years vocational training to work with basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic tools and instrumentation hardware.
- Two years of related experience on Weapon System equipment to perform troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, repair, and operation of complex equipment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with word processing, database management, email, and calendar software.
- Relevant coursework or training related to Navy weapon systems.
- Full-Time Salary Range: $56195 - $89912
