Inclusion and Special Education Needs Co-ordinator - Cuddington and Dinton Church of England School

Location:

Cuddington

The successful candidate will play a key role as one of our Additional Safeguarding Leads (training provided), and lead our Pupil Premium and Disadvantaged Strategy, and responsibility for LAC and PLAC pupils.
This is a position that requires managing provision, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of background or need, are supported to achieve their best.

Term time only: Yes

Salary type: MPS/UPS

Salary Details: Dependent upon experience

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, Three days per week

Autumn Term 2026: earlier start negotiable

Cuddington and Dinton School is a split-site school of 180 pupils, with the sites 2.5 miles apart. We are a school that prides itself on its sense of community and we work closely with our parents, churches and local villages.

We strive to develop staff and pupils so that they can achieve their full potential, offering professional development to all staff to enhance and extend individuals’ skills.

The Inclusion and Special Education Coordinator will play a pivotal strategic and operational role in ensuring that all pupils, particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged, are supported to achieve their full potential.

The post holder will lead on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision, attendance, Pupil Premium and be part of the safeguarding team (ADSL), ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality inclusive practice across both school sites.

  • Act as an Additional Safeguarding Lead for the school
  • Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records
  • Promote a strong culture of safeguarding and child welfare throughout the school
  • Coordinate provision and interventions for pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding
  • Champion inclusive practice and equality of opportunity across both school sites

About you

About you:

  • Qualified teacher with experience as a SENCo Holds, or is willing to work towards, the National Award for SEND Co-ordination (or NPQ SEND)
  • Excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective intervention strategies
  • Skilled at building relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and external agencies
  • Knowledge of evidence-informed practice whilst organised, influential and able to inspire others.
